String family ALABASTRO for classical guitar < / h3> Until the middle of the 20th century, the three treble strings of the guitar were gut. A material that has been used for hundreds of years and that combines excellent attack speed with brilliance on the tone. Undoubtedly very different characteristics from those obtained with modern materials, such as nylon or fluorocarbon. One of the fundamental purposes in Aquila Corde’s research has been the design of a new synthetic product, which meets all the acoustic qualities of the casing but without its associated defects (high cost, short life or instability in the face of environmental changes). The New Nylgut has precisely all the qualities of the casing without its defects. Its key characteristics include fast attack, excellent performance, and remarkable tuning stability under ambient changes. The Alabastro basses are made with silver-plated copper wound, on a New Nylgut core, which guarantees not only great resistance but also low absorption of ambient humidity and sweat. The New Nylgut offers the possibility of rediscovering the sounds close to the great masters of the 19th and 20th centuries. The standard tensions for Alabastro strings are:
  • mi 8.0 Kg
  • si 6.8 Kg
  • sol 6.0 Kg
  • re 7.4 Kg
  • la 7.7 Kg
  • mi 6.6 Kg
